CONVERT CISCO AP FROM AUTONOMOUS TO LWAPP MODE
Connect the Device to the Computer
Open wireshark and run
Wait for cdp broadcast
Check the ip address
Give the same IP address for the Laptop
Connect using telnet
Give username “cisco” password “Cisco”
Enable password “Cisco”
Do a sh run and copy the config
Once config copied do a erase flash:
After erasing the flash copy the new image files to the
flash using tftp32
In AP : give the command "archive download-sw /force-reload tftp://192.168.1.8/c1240-rcvk9w8-tar.124-25e.JAP1.tar"
or
In AP : give the command "archive download-sw /force-reload tftp://192.168.1.8/c1240-rcvk9w8-tar.124-25e.JAP1.tar"
or
In AP : give the command “copy tftp: flash:”
Tftp IP Address
File Name
File name in Flash:
Then xtract the tar image file to the flash
Archive tar /xtract c1130-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.jda.tar c1130-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.jda
Go to the config menu and enable telnet and assign the ip
address
Wr and save the config
Check the flash using sh flash command
Reload
Enter the device using telnet
Do a sh flash and and check the firmware
